Gum contouring cost
The cost of gum contouring varies depending on which treatment is performed and to what extent. It is not unusual that other treatments such as veneers are performed in combination with a gum contouring in order to achieve the best results.
It is important to carefully discuss what results you as a patient hope to achieve and that your dentist thoroughly explains if and how she/he will achieve these results as well as how much the procedure will cost.
A rough cost estimate of the treatments are found below:
Removal of excess gum: cost £200-400
Gum addition/transplant: cost £350-500 per treatment (2-3 teeth)
It is unusual to add gum to more than a couple of teeth per procedure. This implies that several procedures will be required.
Prior to each treatment an individual assessment must be performed whereby the patient receives a treatment plan with cost quotation.
Financing gum contouring
For those who cannot or do not wish to pay their gum contouring in cash there are several different alternatives for loans. Most often clinics collaborate with a financing company that can assist with such matters. One should however be well aware that the interest and fees associated with such financing can be costly.
You can read more about how you can finance your gum contouring on the information page about loans and financing for health care and treatments.
